Hints Tips and FAQs

You’ve gone to all the effort of finding a decorator to suit your needs, so here are a few hints tips and FAQs on how to get the best from them (from a decorator’s point of view, of course):

Get everything in writing: Ensure that every agreement, from finances to the type and colour of the paint is in writing. This makes it easy for both parties to keep track of things, and helps to guarantee that our estimations of time and cost are spot on.

Establish a dialogue: We are more than happy to sit down with you before a job and go through every single detail with you to ensure we know exactly what’s required. If we start off on the same page, chances are we’ll finish there too!

Keep surprises to a minimum: Us decorators do like surprises, but only on our birthdays! If you tell us you’ve cleared out a space for us to decorate and we arrive ready to get started only to find it full of furniture, it’s only going to mean time wasted clearing it all away. Although we’re more than happy to clear a space for you before the job starts, please let us know beforehand.

Tea, Coffee and Biscuits: It doesn’t take a lot to keep a decorator happy, and one sure-fire guarantee of productivity is keeping the hot drinks and hobnobs flowing!

FAQs:

In our many years of painting and decorating, there are a few questions that always pop up:

What is the best time of year for outdoor work? We tend to do the majority of our outside work in the summer months. Although you can never predict the British weather, these tend to be the driest months, and allow us to get the job done with minimal disruption and time wasted.

Can I choose the materials? Of course you can! We are here to do the job the way you want it done. You provide us with the materials, and we’ll get it done.

What happens if I’m not happy with an estimate? While we are fully confident in our pricing, we appreciate the fact we cannot cater for everybody. If you’re not happy with an estimate, let us know and we’ll try and find a solution. If for any reason you’re still not happy, we won’t be offended if you choose to walk away.
